I usually can't stand that phrase "Let's agree to disagree". However, in the case of Ryan Braun I don't think we have a choice at this point in time. People believe what they believe right now and no matter what side you're on, if you're being reasonable, you have to admit that the other side has a valid argument. And while I'm willing to just deal with that right now, we don't have to disagree forever.
People on both sides of this debate have to be open to the possibilty that they might be wrong. If you believe Ryan Braun cheated and there's nothing that can change your mind, then you're being, as Braun himself (and many of his supporters) called it, a "hater". If you're in Braun's camp and there's no evidence that could be revealed to change your mind, then you're being a blind loyalist because he's your guy and you simply don't want it to be true, like Cards'/McGwire fans, Giants'/Bonds' fans, and Cubs'/Sosa fans, etc. before you. No matter what you believe now, know the facts and be willing to change your mind later.
Speaking of the facts, let's just deal with that. Let's throw speculation and conspiracy theories out the window and go with what we know, now and in the future. We've heard rumors of tampering, why Braun was implicated in the first place, and why he has gotten off since. And quite honesty, all of them sound crazy. The answer is usually right in front of your face. Follow the story as it develops, process the facts, use your brain and not your heart, and be willing to change your mind.
But in the meantime, let's just agree to disagree.
