With the Braun drama starting to settle down, perhaps some talk about the Milwaukee Brewers ‘on the field' might be mentioned. One of the biggest topics for the 2012 Brewers is regarding Prince Fielders’ departure. The most common comment is "How are the Brewers going to replace Prince?” The answer is pretty easy. They aren't. That is fact. When you look at Princes numbers, you will agree more to that fact. However, the crew is not out to replace ALL of Princes numbers. Just take a big bite out of them. 40 HR's, 120 RBI's, and a .300 average with a high OBP=Prince. 28 HR's, 100 RBI's, .300 average, and a high OBP=Aramis Ramirez. Side by side comparison should ease the pain somewhat. 12 HR's, 20 RBI's is the difference according to "simple math". Can that be picked up by Lucroy? Can Corey Hart add some additional numbers to make up some of the difference? Gomez? Gamel? Sometimes it's in the way you measure 'collective team stats'. This, Brewers fans, can and should make you smile. You can't replace Prince, but you CAN replace a good chunk of his numbers. We’ll talk about it on Thursday Night during Hot Stove Weekly as well as during the 7th season of the post game show.
