Green Bay, WI - After just having his contract extended thru 2024, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was leading the charge for "Bears Week" in Green Bay.

"I think it's great for our fans that we've played 196 times. Packers. Bears. The rivalry has been around for awhile. And we're up by two. Its's the 100th season of Packers football. Might as well be against our oldest rival," said Rodgers.

The Packers host the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football on NBC. The kickoff at Lambeau Field is scheduled for 7:20pm.

It's a game Packers CEO/President Mark Murphy put a bid in for last spring to the league office, to host the Bears Week 1 as Green Bay celebrates the team's centennial.

The fireworks got started early this week when Bears defensive end Akiem Hicks told Wisconsin reporters on a teleconference call that Packers right tackle Bryon Bulaga, returning from a torn ACL last year, would likely have a very difficult time trying to block Khalil Mack, the Bears new pass rushing outside linebacker acquired last weekend in a mega-trade with the Oakland Raiders.

Mack was sitting next to Hicks while he went on a rant to praise his new teammate.

"I know those five guys can't block Khalil Mack," said Hicks when asked how would the Packers offensive line be able to match up against Mack.

Hicks went on.

"I think the question every team is going to have is how do you block Khalil Mack, right?" Hicks told reporters. "And so him being there, it just gives me more freedom to have one-on-ones."

You'll hear more of Hicks telephone comments, plus how the Packers plan to compete against the Bears run/pass option, and Aaron Rodgers response after being asked if he is truly 100% recovered from the broken collar bone in his right shoulder suffered last October 15th in Minnesota against the Vikings in this Packers vs. Bears preview on The Bill Michaels Show, Sportsradio 105.7 FM The FAN       CLICK HERE FOR PODCAST
