Well it was a crazy few days at the UWM Panther Arena…

With the pros taking center ice for three games in four nights, the Milwaukee Admirals also played host to their 11th annual Admirals Cup.  The event pits eight of the state’s top high school hockey programs together in a battle for gold.

While Waukesha topped Edgewood Saturday afternoon in a shootout, the Admirals themselves were looking to sweep their Thanksgiving homestand. Wednesday night in front of a raucus crowd who were fueled by $3 dollar beers and brats, Milwaukee took it to the wire topping the Cleveland Monsters in a shootout.

After the patrons saddled up on turkey and pumpkin pie, the Chicago Wolves came to town Friday trying to blow down the holiday cheer. Yes that’s right it was the long awaited Santa Claus Bobblehead Night, and it matched up against our rivals down I-94. Despite two early goals from Chicago, yours truly and the Ads puck patrol maybe brought just enough 3rd period energy to call upon Harry Zolnierczyk for a pair to tie Friday night’s contest at 2.

In the thrilling 3 on 3 overtime, the two-time All Star Bobby Butler netted a five-hole game winner to give Milwaukee a 3-1 advantage head-to-head against Chicago.  After the long day of hockey, I personally helped but the ice to bed... VIDEO

Red-hot Manitoba invaded Panther Arena Saturday night and put an end to the Ads two-game winning streak in favor of their six-game winning streak to only increase their first place lead to 3.5 games. However, the Moose won’t be able to find from the Admirals for too long as the teams play a two game set in Manitoba in two weeks.

Prior to, the Ads will travel to Wilkes-Barre Scranton and Hershey, PA. Milwaukee has not faced the Hershey Bears on the road since the team won the Calder Cup in Hershey over a decade ago. We return to UWM Panther Arena with a special guest on Tuesday December 5th, Packers stud rookie S Josh Jones will be signing autographs when the Admirals take on San Diego!

Keep coming back here to 1057FMTheFan.com all season long as The Fan continues to be YOUR HOME for Admirals Hockey!  We are #MILHockey baby!
