The Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council was chartered on July 12, 1961, as the Home Improvement Council of Greater Milwaukee, a chapter of the National Home Improvement Council. The NHIC, founded in 1956, was an organization designed to promote home remodeling in order to stimulate the economy.
In Milwaukee, 15 firms in the home remodeling industry joined together to establish the local chapter. It was the fourth chapter in the nation to be chartered and has since proven to be the largest and most active. The chapter's objective was to band together firms that met high ethical standards for reliable, professional Remodelers. MORE
About Mike McGivern
Mike McGivern was born and raised on the east side of Milwaukee. Attended St. Peter and Paul grade school, Milwaukee Tech and Milwaukee Messmer High School and attended UWM. He lives in Milwaukee with his wife Terrie. They have 2 kids, Katie and Matthew and 2 grandsons, Keegan and Logan that live across the street.
Mike’s Dad was a bricklayer, mason and an all around fix it kind of guy. Mike is not. Not even close. However, he is the host of all WSSP High School sports shows and will host the Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Show with the same enthusiasm and vigor that he does the Wendy’s Varsity Blitz shows.
