This Week In Baseball History: Nolan Ryan Strikes Out 5,000th

This week’s look back at Baseball History takes us to 1989 when Nolan Ryan strikes out Rickey Henderson on a 96 mile per hour fastball to become the first and only Major League player to strike out 5000 batters.

The Ryan Express would finish his career with 5,714 career strikeouts, almost 1000 more than Randy Johnson, who is 2nd all-time.
